During the past 12 months, we have seen many exciting changes at UW-Madison. Among them: Rebecca Blank began as the university’s new chancellor, Ian Robertson hit the ground running as the ninth College of Engineering dean, and, as part of Dean Robertson’s new integrated advancement model, the engineering development directors moved into offices on the engineering campus. We now are aligned directly with departments and are partnering closely with the dean, advancement dean, department chairs, faculty and staff to advance key initiatives within our departments and across the college and university.

You as alumni and friends of the college play a major role in our growth, offering financial support that allows us to take giant steps forward in teaching and research. Thanks to your generosity, the college can continue to deliver a world-class engineering education to the next generation of students, while providing them with exceptional career opportunities and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the world.

This year, we thought the Bucky Wagon was a fitting setting for our team photo, as its transformation brings together everything we hold dear. It truly was a labor of love for the faculty, staff, students and industry partners who helped give this UW-Madison icon new life, and it is a symbol of the undying pride we all share for our great university.

We’d like to offer our heartfelt thanks for your confidence in and support of the UW-Madison College of Engineering.
